MapLink Pro Studio
The MapLink Pro Studio utility includes the following capabilities:
- Coordinate system specification and projection – enabling users to manage inconsistently encoded spatial data. MapLink Pro Studio provides specific coordinate handling operations for polar and other specialized regions.
- Styling and portrayal rule assignment – allowing the designer to refine how the data are visualized by users. Studio users can create ‘feature books’ – reusable templates defining sophisticated styling rules for vector/feature data.Studio also provides tools for styling of raster and terrain data, including automated breakpoint calculation and color ramp generation.
- Pre-processing – Translating disparate, inconsistent data sources (which may be stored in formats that are non-optimal for runtime access) into a consistent, performance-optimized format suitable for runtime visualization.Studio’s pre-processing tools also support layering, tiling, feature masking, and other processing rules, modulating which data are seen at which levels of resolution.
Pre-processing also enables the MapLink Pro runtime environment to pull appropriate levels of data into memory, enabling more efficient, responsive application operation and overcoming performance issues that may arise from attempting to ingest large, cumbersome imagery sources or complex vector files with millions of geometries.
MapLink Pro Studio gives the user seamless, responsive, and intuitive access to these data for consistent performance, without over-burdening the hardware platform.
