MapLink Pro SDKs
The MapLink Pro component SDKs are designed to help you to construct dynamic display applications quickly and simply, and give you a high degree of control over their behaviour. The SDKs provide a toolkit for developing situational awareness applications with moving map data, imagery, terrain and 3D visualization. This results in significantly faster developments with a set of tool that will integrate with many platforms.

The methods on the Terrain Database object allow for query of spot height, profile along a line, area height information, and area intervisibility. Pre-processing the data allows it to be transformed into a pyramided structure that allows these queries to operate more efficiently at appropriate levels of resolution. Developers have the ability to further manipulate these queries to manage the trade-offs between speed and accuracy, ensuring the highest level of fidelity whenever operationally necessary.
The 3D SDK supports the display in 3D of vector and raster mapping, overlay data, and dynamic objects. It supports the import of 3D topology models via the MapLink Pro Terrain SDK, the draping of MapLink Pro Core SDK data-layers over these terrain meshes, and the display of data, such as airways, elevated in 3D.This implementation is designed specifically to enable seamless integration of MapLink Pro 2D data layers into a 3D environment with minimal developer overhead.
MapLink Pro 8.0 introduces a major enhancement to the 3D visualization capabilities through the use of osgEarth. Built on top of the open source Open Scene Graph (OSG) visualization libraries, osgEarth has been specifically built for mission-critical applications and is used internationally across a range of domains, including defense, simulation, and modeling.
Training and simulation applications already leveraging osgEarth are granted access to the rich GEOINT capabilities of MapLink Pro, in particular access to specialized and military data products that otherwise could not be visualized. These products include S-57/S-63, CADRG, DBDB-V, ASRP, ARCS, DAFIF, and Jeppesen data sets.
MAPLINK PRO STUDIO
There is a MapLink Pro Studio Automation SDK, which allows a developer to apply preserved styling and pre-processing configuration settings to dynamically received datasets directly in the deployed system. This on-line map preparation allows the system access to a full scope of MapLink Pro supported data types and the ability to operate more efficiently even with data that is collected or received dynamically by the operating platform.
